When marketing a brand, you really need to be careful of the content you use in social media, like Google+, for the world to see. As important it is to have a strong social media presence, if you open an account with a social network, promote it, and then never use it, the resulting account quickly falls out of date.
That doesn’t look good for you or the brand — it looks like you either don’t care about the account or can’t find the time for it, and the brand appears to lack relevance and popularity. Google is a search engine giant, and you want your brand front and center in the search engine race. Google+ can help you with that because public profiles and updates are indexed for search and appear in web searches of your brand.
