margin: A business's sales revenue minus the cost of goods sold expense and minus all variable expenses; in other words, margin is profit before fixed expenses are deducted.

mission statement: A written summary of your business's goals and values.

monarch paper: High-quality paper that's slightly smaller than standard-size paper, used for personal business letters, with the employee's name and the business's address printed on it.
