Record a Voice Note on Evernote for Windows
Sometimes, you’re on the go and don’t have time to type or tap and fix notes in Evernote for Windows, particularly with the help of autocorrection. You spend more time fighting your keyboard than getting stuff done. If you’re hurrying to your next location, recording voice notes is the perfect way to catch your thoughts before they flit off into oblivion.
To work with voice notes in Windows, do this:
Choose File→New Note or use the Ctrl+N keyboard shortcut.
An empty note is created.
Click anywhere in the note to make the formatting bar visible.
The formatting bar in a note appears.
Click the microphone icon.
The recording controls open above the note.
Click Save to save recording or Cancel to stop recording and start over.
A saved recording is added to the note.
(Optional) Click in the note area and begin typing.
If you want to add notes or text to any of your recordings, you can do that, too. Best of all, you can add the text from any device, not just desktop computers or laptops.
(Optional) Click Record again in an open note.
The additional recording is inserted into the same note.
