Recolor a Graphic in PowerPoint 2007

Recolor a graphic in PowerPoint 2007 when you want to bleach it a certain color. Recoloring gives your PowerPoint graphic a uniform color. Recolored graphics are useful for backgrounds. Select a graphic and follow these steps to recolor a graphic:

1

Click the (Picture Tools) Format tab.

This opens the Format tab.

2

Click the Recolor button.

This opens the Recolor drop-down list.

3

Choose a Recolor option.

Choose the More Variations option to open a submenu with many color options. Live previewing really comes in handy when you’re recoloring a graphic. Move the pointer over options on the Recolor drop-down list and watch your graphic to see what happens. The Washout option creates a transparent image and is useful when creating watermarks.
