Place an Icon on the Quick Launch Bar

Place an icon on the Quick Launch bar so that you have easy access to it. You can place virtually any desktop icon on the Quick Launch bar.

The easiest way to put a program icon on the Quick Launch bar is to drag the program’s shortcut icon from the desktop and onto the Quick Launch bar.

You can add any program (or folder or file) to the desktop as a shortcut. Simply locate the program’s icon or shortcut icon, right-click that icon, and choose Send To→Desktop (Create Shortcut) from the pop-up menu. The shortcut file is created, and its icon appears on the desktop.

I thought this site was supposed to be READ by DUMMIES, not written by them! I have Win.Vista SP1...1 week old which came with the new HP computer and there's no way to get an ICON from the Desktop to the quick Launch Tool Bar by dragging and dropping! WHY does Microsoft have to fix things that aren't broken and then demand you use it if you want a new PC? VISTA SUCKS!!! SS
