Overnight Cherry Almond Steel-Cut Oatmeal

This flat-belly breakfast recipe packs in a double-punch of nutrition with steel-cut oats, which are a high-fiber food, and tart cherries, which contain the highest amount of anti-inflammatory properties of any food. 1 cup steel-cut oats

3 cups unsweetened almond milk

1/3 cup sliced almonds

  1. Liberally coat a slow cooker with cooking spray.

  2. In the slow cooker, combine the oatmeal, almond milk, applesauce, almond extract, and tart cherries.

  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours.

  4. To serve, top with sliced almonds.
