Outlook 2013 For Dummies
The Outlook 2013 Ribbon has tabs for e-mail, calendars, contacts, and tasks. The tabs let you quickly open new e-mail messages, make or change appointments, search for contacts, and create and mark off tasks. Keyboard shortcuts makes doing something in Outlook 2013 even easier.
Outlook 2013 Mail Home Tab
The Mail Home tab on the Outlook 2013 Ribbon has the e-mail tools for daily e-mail message tasks. The Mail Home tab also files e-mail messages for reference and helps you later find those e-mails. The following image is a key to what each Outlook 2013 Mail Home area does.
Outlook 2013 Calendar Home Tab
The Calendar Home tab on the Outlook 2013 Ribbon lets you choose how you prefer to view your appointments. You can choose among views for a Day, a Week, a Work Week, or a Month. You can schedule and track personal projects and professional projects in Outlook 2013. Buttons and icons on the Tasks Home tab on the Outlook 2013 Ribbon are the tools that help manage your workload. Outlook 2013 offers different views — Completed, Today, and Next 7 Days — to help you prioritize.
Outlook 2013 Keyboard Shortcuts and Hotkeys
Outlook 2013 offers keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys so you can manage e-mail, appointments, calendars, and contacts. The shortcuts in Outlook 2013 help you make appointments, distribution lists, and e-mails. Hotkeys help you use the Save As and spell check commands. You also can switch to Tasks, Notes, a folder list, and more.
