NetSuite offers all your essential information technology needs — ERP, CRM, HR, customer service, ecommerce, warehouse and inventory management, and project management. NetSuite shortcuts let you quickly add and edit customers and items; the KPI portlet gives you an overview of your company’s key performance indicators. If you need NetSuite answers, the Help Center, Support, and other users can assist you.
NetSuite Shortcuts and Icons
The NetSuite home dashboard and overview screen icons can save you valuable time. Among other tasks, you can access recent records, start a new event, and create a new customer. The top-left two icons in the accompanying figure (respectively) let you access recently updated information and create or get to a shortcut you’ve already made. Below that, from left to right, the icons let you create a new:

Adding the Key Performance Indicators Portlet to NetSuite
Netsuite portlets show key business metrics on the home dashboard and you can add portlets of many types. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are quantifiable, measurable metrics that tell companies how well they’re achieving their goals. If it’s not already there, add the Key Performance Indicators portlet to your dashboard:
Click the Customize this Page link on the upper-right side.
Click the Key Performance Indicators link in the Add Content pane.
Click the X in the upper-right corner of Add Content window.
Getting NetSuite Help and Support
Finding help in NetSuite when you need answers is easy; support comes in many forms, from field-level help, to the NetSuite Help Center itself, to connecting with other users.
To get information about any field: Click the name for a pop-up of field-level help.
To go to the Help Center: Click Help in the upper-right corner to display context-sensitive help, enter search terms, display PDF guides for print, watch introductory videos (Quick Looks), and more.
To contact NetSuite Support: Click the Support tab menu on any NetSuite screen.
To connect with other users: Visit the NetSuite Community at https://usergroup.netsuite.com.
Using NetSuite's List Shortcuts
You can find records quickly via list shortcuts. NetSuite provides lists for all of the major record types, including customers, transactions, opportunities, and events. Lists show results that let you find any record type in the system.
To sort a list by a particular column, click the column header. An arrow image in the header shows whether the sort order is ascending or descending. Click the header again to reverse the sort order.
Lists always display a footer section at the very bottom of the page. The footer section has footer filters that allow you to change list results.
The footer contains a View drop-down list. Views allow you to instantly change the columns of data in the list, or to filter the results.
