Locating Drupal Site RSS Feeds with Google Reader
Finding RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds for your Drupal site can be tricky, but Google Reader is a good source for ideas. You can find feeds about particular topics by using a feature of Google Reader.
You need to have a Google account to be able to use Google Reader and find feeds with it.
Follow these steps:
-
Browse to Google Reader and log in to Google.
-
Click Add a Subscription on the upper left.
Doing so opens a small search box.
-
Type a search term and click Add.
In the example, the search term was dogs. A list of feeds appears on the right.
Each item in the list shows the URL of the feed as green text beneath the description.
-
Copy a feed you want to use and paste it in the address bar of a browser window to preview the content.
This is a roundabout way to find feeds, but it works fairly well. You can use the Add a Subscription button again and again, refining your search terms, until you find feeds on the subjects you want.
