How U.S. Residents Can Purchase Tickets to the 2012 London Olympics

In order to purchase tickets to the 2012 London Olympic Games, residents outside the United Kingdom and select European countries must apply for tickets through their National Olympic Committee (NOC), National Pralympic Committee (NPC), or authorized ticket resellers (ATR).

For residents of the United States, the ATR is CoSport. As of June 13, all tickets purchased through them will be available for pickup at the London will call office only.

Don't feel as though you've waited too long to grab tickets to the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Tickets are still available for boxing, basketball, diving, football, volleyball, and weightlifting. But you'd better move; they are being sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tickets also are available for the following events in the Paralympic Games: athletics, swimming, and wheelchair basketball. Day passes also are available for specific dates.

  1. To purchase tickets, start by creating an account with CoSport.

  4. Select the sport and start and end dates for the events to which you would like tickets.

The website will search for available tickets. For those familiar with purchasing concert tickets online, it should come as no surprise that you might have to make several adjustments to the dates and event selection to locate tickets.

Residents of the United Kingdom or any of these European countries — Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland — can purchase tickets by creating an account through the official 2012 London Olympic Games website.
