How to Use Your Etsy Shop Settings

Etsy's Your Account page has tools to help you administer your Etsy shop. Specifically, links in the Your Shop section on the left side of Your Account allow you to manage Etsy listings, handle orders you've received, change your shop settings, and promote your shop.

This area also includes links to seller resources, such as Etsy's super-handy Seller Handbook, which is a crazy-thorough compendium of articles about selling on Etsy, and the site's App Gallery.

Managing item listings

The Items links in the Your Shop area give you easy access to tools that enable you to do the following:

  • Add new item listings

  • View, edit, renew, deactivate, and delete items currently for sale

  • Manage draft listings

  • View, edit, activate, and delete inactive item listings

  • View, edit, renew, and delete expired listings

  • View, edit, and rearrange featured listings

  • Apply shipping profiles to multiple listings

Handling sold items

With the Orders links in the Your Shop area, you can do the following:

  • View and track sold items

  • Find out how to cancel an order

  • View daily and monthly sales stats

  • View reported cases — that is, nondelivery cases reported by buyers

If a buyer doesn't receive your item, she can report the problem to Etsy. Any nondelivery reports appear on the Reported Cases page, which you access by clicking the Reported Cases link.

Changing shop settings

The Shop Settings links give you access to tools that enable you to do the following:

  • Establish the look of your shop and broadcast information about your shop and policies

  • Establish shipping profiles and accepted payment methods, accept sales tax, and set your preferred currency

  • Access shop options, vacation mode settings, and Web analytics, and download shop data to a spreadsheet application

Promoting your shop

With literally millions of Etsy shops for buyers to choose from, making yours stand out is imperative. Your Account provides easy access to several tools to help you achieve just that. For example, you can use these tools to do the following:

  • Generate coupons

  • Reserve a spot on the Etsy Showcase to boost sales

  • Build your own Etsy Mini for showing off your Etsy inventory on your own personal website

  • Add an Etsy tab to your Facebook page
