How to Use Google+ on the Nexus 7 Tablet
What irks Google is that no one really takes its own social networking site, Google+, seriously. Because you have the Nexus 7 tablet, which is a Google tablet, you’re given the Google+ app preinstalled to help you begin your social networking journey. No other social networking apps are preinstalled, so the message is clear.
How to set up Google+ on the Nexus 7 tablet
Even though you may already have a Google account, you may still have to endure the pain of setting up and configuring Google+ on your Nexus 7. Do so: Start the Google+ app. Obey the setup directions on the screen. Generally speaking, just accept whatever settings are offered and fill in any blanks as appropriate to your Gmail account. You can always customize things later if you like.
After the initial setup, you next see the main Google+ screen, which (amazingly) shows lots of information, news items, and updates, even when you’ve never used Google+.
To change settings in the Google+ app, touch the Menu icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Choose the Settings command to access the Settings screen.
To return to the main Google+ screen, touch the app icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.
