How To Use Audacity with NaturallySpeaking

Audacity is a free open-source sound editor and recorder that you can download. Using Audacity, you can record podcasts, interview your favorite guru to post on your blog, or edit a recording you’ve already made.

If you’ve never used a sound-editing program before, the interface may seem intimidating at first. But it really is quite simple once you understand how things work. When you open a sound file with Audacity, you see the screen shown.

Like iTunes, you can use Audacity as a Full Text Control application. This means that you can say the names of the menu commands and select the submenus you want to open. As shown in this figure, you see the command you can use by looking at the open menus.
