How to Upload a Picture to Joomla’s Media Manager
Content management systems like Joomla exist to help you manage the different kinds of content that appear on your website. Joomla’s Media Manager is designed to help you keep track of all the image, audio, and video files on your site.
To upload a picture, follow these steps:
From the Administration Control Panel, click the Media Manager icon, or choose Content→Media Manager in any back-end page to open Media Manager.
Media Manager opens.
Click the icon for the Privacy folder.
The Privacy folder window opens.
Click the Choose File button in the Upload Files pane.
The file selection window opens.
Choose the file you wish to upload and click the Choose button.
For this exercise, you may choose any picture file you have available to you.
Click the Start Upload button in the Upload Files pane.
The selected picture file is uploaded.
The file you chose to upload is now viewable in the Media Manager. Click on the thumbnail picture of the file to view it. You are rewarded with an enlarged picture of the file in question.
