How to Upload a Picture from Your Android Tablet to Facebook
One of the many things your Android tablet can do is take pictures. Combine that feature with the Facebook app, and you have an all-in-one gizmo designed for sharing the various intimate and private moments of your life with the ogling throngs of the Internet.
The key to sharing a picture on Facebook is to locate the wee Camera icon, which is found on the Update Status screen. There’s also a Photo button on other Facebook screens. Sharing a picture works similarly no matter where you start.
Here’s how to work that button and upload an image or a video to Facebook:
Touch the Photo button.
You see a thumbnail overview of all the pictures in your phone, including those you’ve taken as well as images from other sources.
Touch to select a photo.
You can select multiple photos if you like; any photo tagged for uploading features a green check mark.
Touch the Compose button, found in the lower-right corner of the screen.
The button features a little green circle with a number that indicates how many images are selected.
After selecting or taking a picture, the image appears as a thumbnail on the Write Post screen, which looks nearly identical to the Update Status screen.
(Optional) Type some text to accompany the image.
Touch the Post button.
The image is posted as soon as it’s transferred over the Internet and digested by Facebook.
The image can be found as part of your status update or news feed, but it’s also saved to the Mobile Uploads album.
If you’d rather snap a picture instead of choosing one from the Gallery, touch the Camera icon in Step 2. The tablet switches over to camera mode, allowing you to take a new picture.
You can use the Facebook app to view the image on Facebook, or you can use Facebook on any computer connected to the Internet.
To view your Facebook photo albums, touch the Menu icon in the upper-left corner of the main Facebook screen. Touch the first item in the sidebar, which is your Profile. Choose the Photos button when viewing your Facebook Profile.
A few Android tablets lack a rear camera. For those devices, you can still upload images to Facebook, but you can’t use the tablet’s camera to snap a photo and upload.
Facebook appears also on the Share menus you find in various tablet apps. Choose Facebook from the Share menu to send to Facebook whatever it is you’re looking at.
