How to Track Your Etsy Sales
Hallelujah! You've made an Etsy sale! When you sell an item in your Etsy shop, Etsy notifies you via e-mail straight away. This e-mail details which item you sold and its quantity and price and includes a link to an invoice. You are also notified about the following important details:
The payment method used
The buyer's details, including her shipping address and e-mail address
Any notes the buyer left
To make sure that your e-mail program's spam filter doesn't come between you and these notification e-mails, consider adding the e-mail address transactions@etsy.com to your list of safe senders. For details on how to perform this task, see your e-mail program's help information.
One way to stay on top of sales is to set up your e-mail program to send a text message to your phone whenever you receive e-mails with the word Etsy in the subject line. For details on taking care of this task, see your e-mail program's help information. Alternatively, you can use EtsyText, a free Etsy app that sends you a text message anytime something in your shop sells (standard text-messaging rates apply).
When you know you've sold an item, you can view it in Your Account and keep track of what sales you've made, which items the buyers have paid for, and whether you've shipped the items. To view a sale in Your Account, log in to your Etsy account and follow these steps:
Click the Your Account link along the top of any Etsy page.
The Your Account page opens.
Click the Sold Orders link, under Orders, on the left side of the page.
Click the Open tab.
The Open Orders page opens, displaying a list of items that you've sold but not yet shipped.
You can view orders you've shipped by clicking the Completed tab. To see all orders — ones that are open and ones that have shipped — click the All tab.
