How to Set Your E-mail Notification Preferences on Pinterest
By default, you’ll receive notifications for every pin, repin, comment, and follow, and if your company account is very active, that can add up to a lot of notifications. You can edit these to your preference so there is less to wade through when your company demands your attention elsewhere.
To set e-mail notifications, do the following:
Hover your mouse pointer on your name in the top-right corner of the page and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
The Edit Profile page appears.
Click the Change Email Settings button.
You have a lot of options.
Depending on your preferences, select or deselect the check boxes for Group Pins, Comments, Likes, Repins, and Follows.
Think twice about opting-in to receive notifications every time someone repines, comments on, or follows you. If your Pinterest account is active, your inbox will become very full very quickly!
It’s a good idea, at the very least, to be notified when someone comments on or repins what you’ve pinned. You can always test different settings out to see what works best for you.
Decide on the frequency of the e-mails.
You can have the e-mails sent to you as soon as an action takes place (immediately) or only once a day.
Select or deselect the Digest and News check boxes, depending on your preferences.
If you select Digest, you receive notifications in a digest form on a weekly basis, as opposed to individual e-mails. If you select News, you receive news and updates from Pinterest. If you don’t select Digest, you receive individual e-mails for each notification.
When you’re finished, click the Save Settings button to save your e-mail preferences.
