How to Search for Items by Seller on eBay

After spending time on eBay, you’ll find that you have favorite sellers. You can always access a seller’s other items for sale by clicking the View Seller’s Other Items link on the listing page. If you intend to follow the auctions of certain sellers, it’s also a good idea to store their links in your My eBay page.

If you don't already have a link, you can search for a seller you like:

1

From the Home page, click the Advanced Search link.

Advanced search gives you a plethora of options to narrow your search.

2

Click the Items by Seller link on the left.

You'll see the Items by Seller search page.

3

Type the eBay user ID of the person you want to find out about.

If you’re a buyer looking for items from a seller you’re doing business with and you only have the seller’s e-mail address, you can just type that in.

4

If you want to see auctions that this specific seller has conducted in the past, select the Show Completed Listings option.

You can choose to see all current and previous auctions, as well as auctions that have ended in the last day, last week, or past 15 days.

5

Select Show Close and Exact User ID Matches.

Sometimes you may not remember the exact User ID of someone. For example, for the user marsha_c, you might not remember the underscore between the a and the c. When you click this option, you see all IDs that are similar to this one (although without the underscore, the ID doesn’t show up at all).

6

Click the Search button.

If your search yields results, you might have to enter the text that appears in a small image — a process known as CAPTCHA which makes sure that you're a real, live person and not some malware program looking for valid usernames — before you get to see them.
