How to Search by Company on LinkedIn

LinkedIn is an excellent place for searching detailed corporate profiles of specific companies. Maybe you’re thinking of applying to a company, and you want to see who you know that works for that company so you can get a referral. Perhaps you're looking for a decision maker at a company that can help you with a deal, or you’re curious how active a particular company’s employees are on LinkedIn.

When you're ready to search by company, just follow these steps.

1

Click the Advanced Search.

You’re taken to the People page, and the People Search tab is selected.

2

Enter the name of the company in the Company text box.

You can use the drop-down menu under the Company field to select whether to view current and past employees, just current employees, or only past employees. If you don’t select a method, LinkedIn will automatically search Current & Past employees by default.

3

Click the Search button to start your search.

You see up to 500 results that match your company and exist somewhere in your extended network. (If you have paid for a premium account, you see the first 500 results on this page.)

4

(Optional) Click the Modify Your Search text box on the left side of the screen.

You can enter more information, like full name, job titles, company, school, or location information into the boxes provided. Click the Search button when you're finished.
