How to Read Feeds in Outlook 2013
After you’ve subscribed to an RSS feed, it appears in the RSS Feeds folder in the Outlook 2013 Folder list. No matter whether you’ve subscribed to YouTube channels, podcasts, blogs, or anything else, you can read feeds as easily as you read e-mail.
The Navigation pane has no button for RSS feeds, so you have to open the RSS folder to see what’s inside. That means it takes a few more steps to read RSS feeds than to read e-mail, but after you find your way to the RSS folder, it’s pretty easy.
Follow these instructions to read an RSS feed in Outlook 2013:
Click the Mail button in the Navigation bar.
The list of mail folders appears.
Click the arrow next to the RSS Feeds folder.
The folders that contain RSS feeds appear. Each folder has one feed. If the RSS Feeds folder has a triangle and no folders appear below it, it means you haven’t set up any RSS feeds yet.
Click the folder that has the feed you want to read.
You can treat each item in a feed just as you’d treat individual e-mail messages. You can assign categories, move items to folders, and forward messages.
If you’ve subscribed to one or more podcasts and chosen to download the programs automatically, double-click the attachment to the message file. Windows Media Player will start and then you can listen to your podcast.
