How to Organize Your Photos with iPhoto
iPhoto let's your organize your photos to make them easier to find. You can assign your photos to albums and then give each album a descriptive name.
Select Photos in the Library section in the iPhoto Source pane.
The photos in your library appear as thumbnails in the viewer tab.
Click the Add Photo Album button.
The + button is underneath the Source pane. Alternatively, choose File→New Album or press Command+N. The New Album dialog box appears.
Type the album name and then click OK.
This creates a new album.
Select photos in your library and then drag them into the album.
When you click a photo, you know the photo is selected when an outline appears around it. You can select a block of photos by clicking the first photo and pressing and holding Shift, and then clicking the last one. The first and last photos — and all the photos in between — are selected automatically. You can also add individual photos to a selection by Command-clicking each photo. A number appears, showing the number of selected photos in the range.
Click the photo album name in the Albums section of the Source pane to rearrange the photos in the album.
When you click an album name in the Albums section of the Source pane, only the photos you dragged to the album — not the entire library — appear in the viewer tab. You can reposition pictures within the album by simply dragging them to a different location.
