How to Manage Your Squarespace Account via Mobile
You can add as many Squarespace accounts as you want to your mobile app. If you don't have a Squarespace account, or want to start a new one, you can also sign up for an account from the mobile apps.
Have you added contributors to your site with permission to moderate comments, edit content, or help administer other updates on your site? If so, they can download and use the Squarespace app to help out on the go, too.
How to add an existing account to the Squarespace app
Do you already have a Squarespace account and want to add it to your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Android device? Just do the following:
Download the Squarespace app for your device.
You can also go to your device's app store and search for Squarespace to locate the Squarespace app and download it to your device. On the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, tap the App Store icon on your device's home screen to open the App Store. On Android devices, tap the Google Play icon on your home screen to open the Google Play store.
Open the Squarespace app.
The screen below shows the Squarespace app at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone.
Tap the Add Account button.
This login form appears.
Type your Squarespace login name and password.
Use the e-mail address and password that you used when signing into your Squarespace account in your computer's browser.
If you're a contributor on this site, you can log in just like an owner under the Owner Login tab.
The Editor Login tab is for the older version of Squarespace, version 5. At the time of this writing, the Editor Login tab is not used for logging into a Squarespace 6 account.
If you have multiple Squarespace sites that use the same login and password, select the site to add to your account.
To add additional sites, repeat Steps 3–5.
Tap the Confirm button.
The account screen appears, displaying your newly added account.
How to add a new account on the Squarespace app
You can sign up for a new account using the Squarespace mobile app, but be aware that it's not optimized for a mobile experience. Sign up using a desktop device if at all possible.
To sign up for a new Squarespace account, follow these steps:
Download the Squarespace app for your device:
Use the links above to download the app for your device. Or go to your device's app store and search for Squarespace to locate the Squarespace app and download it to your device.
On the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, tap the App Store icon on your device's home screen to open the App Store. On Android devices, tap the Google Play icon on your home screen to open the Google Play store.
Open the Squarespace app and tap the Get New Account button.
A template selection page from the main website appears. It's small but usable.
Select a template by clicking its thumbnail.
After selecting your template, you see further information about the template as well as customer sites that use that template.
When you find a template you like, click the Start with This Design button.
The Create Your website signup screen appears.
In the Name fields, type your first and last names.
Your first and last names are used to create your Squarespace account name, which in turn is added to the beginning of your website's unique URL. If you want to use John Smith as your account name, for example, type John in the first name field and Smith in the last name field.
Squarespace account names must begin with a letter and must be 3–25 characters. You can use letters, numbers, and hyphens within the account name.
Provide a valid e-mail address.
Make sure that the e-mail address is one you use routinely because Squarespace uses your e-mail address to send important notifications about your account.
If you're creating your second, third, or fortieth website with Squarespace, you can use the same e-mail address you used for another Squarespace account. Also, make sure to use the same password you used with the other Squarespace accounts.
In the Password field, type a secure password.
When creating a password, don't use obvious options such as your account name or the words square or space. And don't share your password.
Choosing a secure password is very important. Numerous articles online describe how to create a secure password. The best passwords are ones that are a combination of real words and numbers assembled in a phrase that can't be predicted or discerned. To check your password's security check out How Secure Is My Password?
Click the Finish and Create Site button.
You have an official Squarespace account, and a website that's ready for you to customize and fill with content.
Tap the Back button.
You return to the mobile app screen, where you can now add your new account.
