How to Format Your Web Page Text in CoffeeCup

CoffeeCup Code Editor makes it easy for you to format the text on your Web page. You can add headings of various levels, and bold or italics to text for emphasis all without having to know and enter HTML code.

Follow these steps to enter and format text in CoffeeCup:

Start CoffeeCup and inspect the HTML in the Code Editor tab.

Note the beginning and ending HTML, head, and body tags as well as the Title tag.
Move to the Visual Editor tab.

If the Code Editor asks, save the contents as prompted.
Choose Insert→Title.

The Page Title dialog box appears.
Enter an appropriate title, click OK, and move the cursor to a new line.

For this experiment try something simple, like My Home Page for your page title.
Type some text introducing your Web page.

When someone searches for your Web page by using a search engine, the search engine may display the Web page title, as described above, and the first few words that appear in the document. So make the first few sentences of text that follow the title an introduction to the entire page or Web site.
Highlight text that you’d like to make a header and choose Format→Font→Header Sizes.

Here you can choose the header size you want, from 1 (largest) through 6 (smallest).

The text will change to a header of the selected size. A lot of people chose header size 1 as this is the header for all the content that follows.
Highlight other text that you want to format and click the toolbar button for the formatting style that you want.

Choose the B button for Bold, the I button for Italic, or the U button for Underline.
