How to Export Member Data from Your Ning Network

You may want to export member data from your Ning network for a number of reasons. You may want to analyze the Ning member data in Excel so that you can determine the demographics of your network; gather members' e-mail addresses so you can send them a newsletter; or simply have a backup of the data.

Whatever your reason for doing it, you can export all the answers your members entered during their registration:

Click the Manage link in your navigation.

The Manage page appears.

Click the Members link below the Your Members heading.

The Manage Members page appears.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Export All Member Data (.CSV) link.

A dialog window window appears, prompting you to confirm whether you want to start the export process.

Click OK in the window.

The more members you have, the longer the download process takes. Make sure to keep the browser window open during the export process.

When the export finishes, a window confirming the success appears.

Click the link titled This Link.

You’ll be prompted to save the file to your computer

Save the CSV document containing the member data on your local hard drive.

You can view the information in a spreadsheet program like Excel.
