How to Edit Text in PowerPoint 2007

Whether you need to edit text in a New PowerPoint 2007 presentation or revising an existing presentation, editing text in PowerPoint requires just a few simple steps.

Click File→Open and double-click your presentation.

Choose the presentation you want to open from the list.

Click the View tab and click the Normal button.

Your presentation opens in Normal view.

Click the Slides tab.

View thumbnail images of the slides in your presentation.

Click a slide thumbnail in the Slides tab.

The slide displays in the Slides pane.

Click the cursor inside the text placeholder.

This puts your cursor inside the text placeholder.

Highlight the text you want to edit.

Dragging the cursor across the text to edit.

Type new text.

The text you entered replaces the old text.
