If you're traveling on the road and your hotel doesn't offer a gym, you can perform exercises such as chair abdominal curls in your room. Exercising in your room is also a viable option if you are pressed for time or just prefer to exercise alone.

So maybe the carpet in your room doesn’t look like something you want to lie down on. If that is the case, you can still work your abs by sitting in your chair.


Sit in a chair with your hands holding onto the seat.

Your feet should be resting on the floor.


Contract your abdominals by tucking both knees into your chest.

Exhale as you contract (tuck).


Lower your legs back to the starting position.

Inhale as you release. Beginners can try 1 set of 8 to 10 reps. More conditioned exercisers can try 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps.
