How to Create Playlists on Your Blackberry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook comes with a single empty playlist that can hold your absolute most favorite tracks. If you’d like to have more than one playlist (you’re a person of many moods), set them up in a computer-based music library such as Windows Media Player or iTunes; from there you can transfer the playlists to the PlayBook and sync up using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Add a song to the playlist on your PlayBook

Follow these steps:

  1. Tap a song, artist, album, or genre.

  2. Swipe down from the top frame.

  3. Tap Edit.

  4. Tap Add.

  1. Tap PlayBook playlist.

  2. Swipe down from the top bezel to display the pen icon; tap it.

  3. Tap one or more songs, or tap the Select All button.

  4. Tap Remove.

Add playlists from your computer to your PlayBook

Follow these steps:

  1. Connect your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to your desktop or laptop computer using a USB cable.

  2. On the computer, allow the BlackBerry Desktop Software to open automatically.

Or you can manually load it.

  3. Click Music.

  4. Complete the onscreen instructions.

You’ll add playlists that you created using a music library such as Windows Media Player or iTunes. An example of a ready PlayBook playlist is shown here.
