How to Create Marketing Video Playlists and Favorites on YouTube
A playlist is a way to group videos by common topics. Playlists help your YouTube channel’s visitors find the marketing videos they’re interested in. They also help your videos to be found in search results. If you have a useful playlist about a particular topic, it will likely appear prominently whenever people look for the topic. That’s good for your viewer numbers.
To manage your playlists, click your username and then select Video Manager Start by following these steps to create a new playlist:
Choose the Playlist option in the leftmost sidebar.
Click the New Playlist button.
Give your playlist a title and a description. Click the Create Playlist button.
On the next page that opens, specify more details.
You can decide whether your playlist should be public or private.
Add videos to your playlist by returning to the Video Manager list. Select the check box next to the videos you want to add.
Click the Add To button at the top, and choose the playlist you want to use. You can add some optional notes to your newly added video. Then click the Add Note button.
Check your new playlist for correctness.
Click the Playlist link in the sidebar on the left, and then click the name of your new playlist.
A special type of playlist is the Favorites list. You can add videos to this list in the same way you would add them to any playlist. By default, the list of your favorite videos appears prominently on your channel, so it’s a useful way to direct people to your best work.
Add your own videos to your playlists and Favorites list, and add them to other people’s lists. You can add to your playlists not only your own videos but also other people’s videos that you find on YouTube.
If you can offer a playlist of some of the best videos on the subject (including your own, of course), viewers who are interested in a particular topic will be grateful. To add other videos, click the Add To button that you see below every YouTube video when you’re logged in.
