I do all this and instead of an email address in blue underlined as
typical hyperlinks look I get the following: {HYPERLINK
"mailto:abcd@xyz.com"} There is no link, clicking on this takes you
no where.

@Don: It looks like you have the field codes showing. The solution
is simple: Click the MS Office button and then click Word Options
at the bottom. Go to the Advanced section on the left, and then
scroll down until you see the "Show document content" section. You
need to uncheck the option called "Show field codes instead of
their values" and then click OK. That should fix things.

When I create hyperlinks, it is automatically linking to the
document on my computer, not in the web. When I manually type it in
and hit ok, it changes it back to the folder on my computer.
