How to Create a New Android Phone Contact Using Its Location
Your Android phone’s address book is stored in an app traditionally named Contacts. Your cell phone may use a different app, such as the People app found on HTC phones, but the idea is the same: It’s the app you use to see information about the people you know. When you use the Maps application to locate a restaurant, a cobbler, or an erotic boutique, you can quickly create a contact for that business based on its location. Here’s how:
After searching for your location by using the Maps app, touch the cartoon bubble that appears on the map.
Press the Menu soft button and choose the command Add As a Contact.
If you don’t see the Add As a Contact command, touch the More button on the screen, and then choose Add As a Contact.
If prompted, choose in which account to store the contact.
The information from the Maps application is copied into the proper fields for the contact, including the address and phone number, plus other information (if available).
Touch the Save button.
The new contact is created.
When things change for a contact, or if you make mistakes in the contact because you created it while jumping rope, you can edit the contact information.
