How to Construct a Disclosure Policy for a Mom Blog
You can use the handy Disclosure Policy Generator at DisclosurePolicy.org, or you can research and write your own disclosure policy, have it checked by a lawyer, and post it on your blog. DisclosurePolicy.org walks you through a six-step process as you select the disclosure terms that are specific to your blog, and creates a fully written disclosure policy for you.
Here’s how you create a disclosure policy on this site:
Go to disclosure policy generator.
Select the option button that best describes your type of blog, and then click the Continue button.
Select the option button with the description that accurately matches what forms of compensation your blog receives, and then click the Continue button.
Select the option button with the description that accurately describes how your content may or may not be influenced by advertisers, and then click the Continue button.
Select the option button with the description that accurately describes how any opinions expressed on your blog may or may not be related to sponsored content, and then click the Continue button.
Select the description that accurately represents how your blog handles potential conflicts of interest.
If applicable, fill in the text fields with any current relationships that may present a conflict of interest. These include
Any company or person who is an advertiser or client.
Any corporate or advisory boards you may serve on.
Any political affiliations that would influence your content.
Any related persons who may benefit from your blog.
Any other organizations or people that you have a financial interest in that are relevant to your blog.
Click the Finish button.
Select and copy the text created for you and paste it into your blog where you want your disclosure policy to appear.
