How to Configure Your Facebook Page for Maximum Exposure

To get the most marketing benefits from your Facebook page, you need to get as much exposure as possible. You can increase exposure in several ways: allow users to post photos and videos to your page, allow users to post text updates and links to your page, let users tag your photos, and allow threaded commenting.

1

Allow Facebook users to post photos and videos to your page.

Doing so increases your page’s exposure to those users’ friends.

For example, the friends of the Facebook users who've posted these photos of rabbits will see a story in their News Feed, exposing them to the National Wildlife Federation. Also, when people tag any photo posted by NWF or by Facebook users, the person being tagged receives a notification, exposing them to the National Wildlife Federation.

2

Click Edit Settings under the Edit Page menu item in your admin panel.

This allows others to post photos, videos, text updates and links to your page.

3

Let people post photos and videos by selecting both options next to Posting Ability.

Also, let Facebook users tag any photos you post to your Page.

4

Allow threaded commenting by selecting Allow Replies to Comments on My Page.

This helps create more engagement on posts with notifications to users who've been replied to with a comment.
