How to Choose a QR Code Reader for an BlackBerry Operating System
The operating system on your smartphone is what runs it; it determines what QR Code reader you can use. Not all readers work on all phones. BlackBerry devices run only BlackBerry operating systems. The good news is that some BlackBerry devices come with a loaded QR Code reader. The bad news is they don’t call it a QR Code reader.
Here’s how to locate it:
Locate and press the Menu key on your device.
Select Scan a Barcode.
If your device doesn’t come with a built-in QR Code reader, or if you just want to try a different one, head over to the BlackBerry App World and download a third-party application.
Find and tap the App World icon on your mobile device.
Type QR Code reader into Search.
A list of QR Code and other barcode readers appears. Pick a free reader for now. Here are the top two free readers in App World, based on customer reviews.
You can also search for these readers by name.
Tap the reader you want and tap FREE at the top right.
