How to Change Photos in a Facebook Album

After you’ve created a photo album to share with your Facebook friends, you can add more photos to it or remove photos from it at any time. Your status will update too, so your friends will know to go look at your album to see your changes.

Sometimes, depending on how organized the photos on your hard drive are, you may want to add photos in batches anyhow. To add more photos, follow these steps:

  1. Click Add Photos in the upper-right corner of the album view.

This opens the same Upload Photos box that you got when you first created the album.

  2. Click Select Photos to Continue.

This opens the interface for exploring your computer’s hard drive.

  3. Select the photos you want to add.

  4. Click Open.

The upload process begins, complete with progress bar so you know how long the upload will take.

  5. Click the Done button after the upload is complete.

You are asked to tag the new photos you have added.

Maybe you realized that all 20 group shots from the high school reunion don’t have to go in the album, or that one photo has a whole bunch of crossed eyes. You can remove photos entirely from an album.

  1. From the album view, click the photo you want to delete.

This opens the photo viewer. Look on the right side of the bottom section for a list of links.

  2. Click Delete This Photo.

This opens a pop-up window asking if you are sure.

  3. Click Confirm.

This brings you back to the album view, now with one fewer photo.

To edit an album at any time, click Photos in the left column on your Home page and then select My Uploads. Click Edit Album beneath the album title you want to modify.

While you’re looking at the Edit Album box, look for a link in the bottom to Delete Album. If you ever decide, in retrospect, that adding a particular album was a poor choice, you can click Delete Album to remove the whole thing.
