How to Build an Index in Word 2007

    I am clear with indexing now... But the document's alignment is changed and ultimately the page number varies, if i go with this method... any suggestions...?? plzzzzzzz....

    I have spent two weeks compiling an index for a book which I have written but the page numbers do not agree with the text. Please can you advise. URGENT!
