How to Add Twitter Share Buttons to Your Blog
Twitter share buttons are used by social media marketers to gain followers. For example, you can place these buttons (also known as icons) in your blog’s sidebar to encourage readers to follow you on Twitter.
To install Twitter share buttons on WordPress, go to the Twitter Buttons page and grab the code. When you locate the code, simply copy and paste it into your sidebar. If you have someone designing your blog, you can also have that person create a Twitter share button unique to your blog.
If you own a Blogger blog, Blogger’s template editor has several drag-and-drop options for Twitter share buttons. To install a Twitter share button on your Blogger blog:
Sign in to your blog’s dashboard.
Select the Design function.
Select Page Elements.
Select Show Share Buttons.
Drag and drop the share buttons into the desired location.
You’re all set. After you click Save, the share button is saved to your blog and ready to use.
The sidebar buttons won’t enable readers to share links, but they will help you to build your follower base. To share links, you will need a plug-in like TweetMeme on WordPress.
