How to Add Sales Information for Your Etsy Item
After you write the perfect description and post and tag your item, you then have the chance to add sales information about your Etsy item. Sales information is a way to spread the word about the item's price and quantity. Access your Etsy listing from the Your Accounts page and then fill in the information your buyers need.
If you have already started your Etsy listing, click the Draft Listings link under Items on the left side of the page to open it.
Enter the item's price in the Price field.
An Apply Shop Tax Rates check box appears. If you don't wish to apply your shop's tax rate to this listing, uncheck that check box; otherwise, leave it as-is.
Type the item's quantity in the Quantity field.
Notice the message next to the Quantity field: "Etsy charges costs $0.20 USD per item." This fee is your one-time listing fee, for which Etsy will bill you. (This fee is nonrefundable, even if you unlist your item.) In addition to this listing fee, you're charged a transaction fee when your item sells. This transaction fee amounts to 3.5 percent of your total sale price (not including shipping). These fees are assessed at the end of each month; you can pay them either using the credit card you have on file with Etsy or via PayPal.
In the Shipping section, click the Load a Shipping Profile drop-down list and choose the shipping profile you want to use.
Using a shipping profile isn't mandatory. If you want to enter the shipping information case by case, you're free to do so. But if you have a lot of listings to upload, you'll find that using shipping profiles makes your work go a lot faster!
Click the Preview Listing button at the bottom of the List an Item page.
Etsy displays a preview of your listing. Review your listing; if you notice something that you need to change, click the Edit button at the top of the page, make your change, and click the Preview Listing button again.
To submit your listing, click the Publish button at the top of the page.
The listing is submitted to Etsy and appears in the Currently for Sale page in Your Account.
