How to Activate Bluetooth for Your Nexus 7 Tablet
Computer nerds have long had the desire to connect high-tech gizmos to one another. The Bluetooth standard, available on your Nexus 7 tablet, was developed to sate this desire in a wireless way. Though Bluetooth is wireless communication, it’s not the same as wireless networking. It’s more about connecting peripheral devices, such as keyboards, mice, printers, headphones, and other gear. It all happens in a wireless way.
To make the Bluetooth connection, you turn on the Nexus 7’s Bluetooth radio. Obey these directions:
Touch the All Apps icon on the Home screen.
Open the Settings icon.
Ensure that the button next to the Bluetooth item is set to ON.
If not, touch that button, and the gray OFF button turns into the blue ON button.
When Bluetooth is on, the Bluetooth status icon appears, as shown in the margin.
To turn off Bluetooth, repeat these steps: Touch the ON button to reset it to OFF in Step 3.
Bluetooth can be quickly turned on or off by using the Quick Actions shade: Touch the Bluetooth icon to see the Bluetooth screen in the Settings app.
