For Seniors: Restrict YouTube Videos on iPad 2
You can mark YouTube videos as "inappropriate" and restrict access to them on your iPad 2. For example, you might want to restrict certain YouTube videos in order to prevent them from playing should your inquisitive grandkids pick up your iPad.
After viewing a video in the YouTube app on your iPad that you deem inappropriate or something you'd like to restrict access to, you simply flag it. The flag causes the YouTube app to prompt for your password in order to access the video.
You need a YouTube account with a user name and password in order to flag videos.
With a video open in the YouTube application in the smallest view, tap in the black area near the top of the screen.
A set of tools appears above the small video window.
Tap the Flag button.
The Flag as Inappropriate button appears.
Tap the Flag As Inappropriate button.
You're prompted to log into your YouTube account.
Sign in to your YouTube account with your username and password.
After you sign in, the flag is accepted. The next time someone tries to view this video using your iPad, he or she will be prompted to enter your password in order to continue. If the password is entered, the video will play; otherwise, it will not.
