For Seniors: Print a Web Page in Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer lets you print the web page you are currently displaying in its window. However, the formatting of web pages makes printing difficult, without printing things you don't want, such as ads, sidebars, and so on. Often, web pages offer a printer-friendly page, which displays only the web page's main content, arranged in a simple easy-to-print format.
Navigate to the web page you wish to print.
If a web page includes a link or button that displays a printer-friendly version of a page, click it before proceeding. If the Print dialog box appears as a result, skip the next step.
Click the Print button on the Internet Explorer toolbar.
The Print dialog box appears.
Set options for printing and click Print.
A web page may actually contain several pages worth of print. In the Page Range area, select which pages to print. Click the up arrow in the Number of Copies text box to print multiple copies. If you want multiple copies collated, select the Collate check box.
Unless a web page has a printer-friendly version, it's a good idea to choose File→Print Preview (or click the arrow on the Print button and select Print Preview) and preview how the page will look when printed. Print Preview also helps you pinpoint which page(s) to print, if you don't want to print everything on a web page.
