For Seniors: Invite Friends to Your Social Network
After joining a social network such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Eons, invite friends to join you. After you connect with friends on a social network, you can use it to share your activities, thoughts, photos, likes and dislikes.
For most social networks, the process of inviting your friends to join you is similar, so here are the steps you would follow to sign up for Eons, a senior social networking site. Follow these same basic steps to invite friends to join you on the social networking sites you belong to.
Visit the Eons Home page, log in, click the People tab and choose Find Real Life Friends.
The Find People You Already Know form appears.
Enter a name and e-mail address for somebody you know, and then click Find My Contacts to see whether that person has an Eons account.
You can also click the Use Your Email Address Book link to search your saved e-mail contacts. If the e-mail addresses you supply match anyone on Eons, a list of contacts appears.
Select the contacts you wish to invite then click the Invite button.
Your friend receives an invitation in her e-mail inbox; by clicking a link in the invitation, she will become your friend on Eons.
Typically, social networks also allow you to invite people not on the network to become your friends as well.
To display a list of your friends on Eons, click the People tab and choose My Friends.
