For Seniors: How to Know When and Where to Leave eBay Feedback
You should leave feedback on eBay as soon as a transaction is completed. For eBay buyers, that means you should leave feedback as soon as you receive their items and check them out. For sellers, timing is up for grabs.
Don’t leave feedback for buyers until you know they’re happy with their item. Even though a seller can’t leave a negative, you don’t want to leave a spurious positive for a difficult buyer.
When multiple items are purchased in a transaction, a feedback entry is left for each item. Rather than leaving feedback for all items at once, if a buyer or seller leaves feedback stretched out over several weeks (only one item per week), the person on the other end of the transaction gets a single feedback point each time a positive entry occurs. Leaving feedback in this way results in a greater increase in a seller’s feedback rating. It’s a courteous gesture that breeds good eBay karma.
Try to think of the feedback process from the receiver’s perspective. If you leave feedback for all items at once, that transaction — even though multiple items are involved — counts as only a +1 for the receiver’s feedback rating.
You can leave feedback comments for an eBay seller or buyer in several ways:
If you’re on the user’s Feedback page, click the Leave Feedback link; the Leave Feedback page appears.
In the Won area of your My eBay page, click the Leave Feedback link next to the listing.
Go to your auction and click the Leave Feedback icon.
In the Feedback Forum, click the Leave Feedback link to see a list of all your completed auctions and won items from the last 90 days for which you haven’t yet left feedback.
