Fix Knitting Mistakes by Ripping Stitches

If you discover you've made a mistake in your knitting, don't panic! You can rip out your stitches row-by-row or stitch-by-stitch (called "tinking") until you get back to your missed stitch and then continue on with your knitting pattern.
