Drupal Website Image Addition

You may be eager to add images in your website. Drupal 7 has made it very easy to upload and include an image in your article or basic page. The downside is that you don’t have any control over the layout of these images, and you can only include one image per post.

To use HTML to add an image to your content, make sure you’re logged in as an administrator, and then follow these steps:

Create a new article by selecting Content→Add Content.
Enter a title such as Posting an Image.
In the Body section, enter some text.

Try to enter a few paragraphs so you get a sense of how the image will look onscreen.
Scroll down to the Image section under the Body text box.
Click Choose File to locate the image.

The Upload File dialog box appears.
Browse to the desired folder, select the image, and click the Open button.

Your image must be a .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png image and can’t be larger than 2MB. Also, keep in mind that Drupal will resize your image to fit on the web page if it’s very large.

The image you want to use must be stored somewhere on your computer. You can’t use an image from the web without first downloading it. And, in general, using images you’ve downloaded from the web can get you into legal hot water.
Click Upload to save the image to your website.

You see a thumbnail of your image. Add in descriptive text in the Alternate text box.
Preview to see the image with your content, and then click Save to view it on your home page.

The following shows the image on the home page.

If you edit an existing post and use the Edit Summary text box, make sure you click Save to republish your content. You may have to reload the home page to see the changes.
