Change Themes on Your Drupal Website

Modifying your Drupal website theme is easy to do. Themes are fun to play with and change - or reset to the default. You can find them conveniently located right in your Dashboard:

  1. From the Dashboard menu bar, choose Appearance.

This opens the Appearance overlay, where your Drupal installation’s themes can be viewed.

By default, Drupal is set to use Bartik 7.0.

  2. Scroll down and find the Garland 7.0 theme. Click the Enable and Set Default link.

The Appearance page reloads, with a green notification bar. Click the Home icon located in the left side of your Dashboard menu bar. Your site has changed to a new theme. Only the appearance has changed. The content is still there, and the layout is even the same.

If you don’t like the new theme, you can return it to the Bartik theme by selecting Set Default to the right of the Bartik theme on the Themes page. Or try one of the others. You can change it back if you don’t like it.
