Correct Mistakes in Recording Quicken 2012 Investment Transactions
If you make a mistake when you're recording investment transactions in Quicken 2012, don’t worry — it’s not a problem. You can edit an investment transaction. To edit a particular transaction, you first need to display the investment transactions list. To do this, click the investment account in the Accounts bar. Quicken displays the Investment Transactions window.

To edit one of the transactions you see listed for the investment account, double-click the transaction. Quicken opens the dialog box you originally used to record the transaction, and you use it to make your changes.

If you don’t see the transaction listed, use the Date Range box to specify that you want to see all transactions for the account.
For example, you can click in the fields with the incorrect entries, fix them, and then record the new, corrected transaction.
