Construct Points of Intersection with GeoMaster on the TI-84 Plus
GeoMaster on the TI-84 Plus graphing calculator can construct the points of intersection of any pair of the following types of objects: lines, segments, rays, vectors, sides of polygons, circles, and arcs. If there is more than one point of intersection, GeoMaster will find all of these points.
To construct points of intersection, follow these steps:
Select the Intersection tool from the DRAW menu.
To do this, press [WINDOW] if the Menu bar is visible at the bottom of the screen or [GRAPH][WINDOW] if it is not. Repeatedly press
to highlight the Intersection tool and press [ENTER]. The tool you selected appears in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to one of the objects in the intersecting pair of objects and press [ENTER].
After pressing [ENTER], the object just selected appears as a dashed figure.
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the other object in the intersecting pair and press [ENTER].
The point or points of intersection appear on the screen and the Intersection tool remains active. You can construct more points of intersections by following Steps 2 and 3. When you are finished using this tool, you deactivate it by pressing [CLEAR] or by selecting another menu item.
When you press [ENTER] to select an object and GeoMaster isn’t sure which object you want, it gives you a list of objects from which you choose one by pressing the number of the object.
