Add Subhead Tags in WordPress

Adding subheading tags to your mom blog content is easy in WordPress. You’ll first want to have a blog post written with one or more subheadings included as separate paragraphs. Use Heading 2 sparingly for major sections of your blog posts, and Heading 3 for subsections.

Not every blog post will even be long enough to use subheadings — they aren’t necessary if your post is short. But they make a big difference in longer posts because they help break up the content into chunks and make it much easier to scan quickly.

Here’s how to add subheading tags in WordPress:

1

Have your blog post open in your blog editor on your Edit Posts page.

Ensure your blog post has one or more subheadings included as separate paragraphs.

2

To add a Heading 2 tag, place your text cursor into any paragraph you want to format as Heading 2.

Select Heading 2 from the Format drop-down list.

3

To add a Heading 3 tag, place your text cursor into any paragraph you want to format as Heading 3.

Select Heading 3 from the Format drop-down list.

4

Click the Publish button if the post is finished, or click the Save as Draft button if it requires more editing.

Heading 2 and Heading 3 tags are added in WordPress.
