10 Useful Keyboard Shortcuts in Sage Timeslips

Keyboard shortcuts can be seriously powerful time-savers in Sage Timeslips. Start or save a slip, insert the date for yesterday, today, or tomorrow in a Date field, and turn timers on and off with one keypress or two. Following are ten favorites.

Press What It Does
Ctrl+N Starts a new slip while working in the Slip Entry window or the Time and Expense Slip List window.
Ctrl+S Saves a slip while you are working in the Slip Entry window or the Time and Expense Slip List window.
Tab Moves the insertion point from one field to the next while you are working in any data entry window.
T Inserts today's date when the insertion point appears in any Date field of any window.
S Inserts the same date that appears in any other date field when the insertion point appears in a Date field in any window. For example, pressing S in the End Date field on the Slip Entry window inserts the same date in the End Date field that appears in the Start Date field.
Down arrow Inserts the previous day's date when the insertion point appears in a Date field in any window.
Up arrow Inserts the next day's date when the insertion point appears in a Date field in any window.
F5 Turns the timer on when you're working in the Slip Entry window. Pressing F5 again turns the timer off. F5 works also in the Time and Expense Slip List window to turn the timer on or off for the currently selected slip.
Ctrl+F5 Turns off all timers for the currently logged-in timekeeper. You can press Ctrl+F5 from any Timeslips windows to shut off the timers.
Alt+F5 Turns off all timers for all timekeepers. You can press Alt+F5 from any Timeslips windows to shut off the timers.
