The Griffin Tablet Stand for Your iPad

By Bob LeVitus, Edward C. Baig, Bryan Chaffin

The Griffin Tablet Stand ($14.99) is so unusual that you just have to take a look at it (shown in the figure). It’s a dual-purpose desktop stand made of heavy-duty aluminum. You can open it to hold your iPad in either portrait or landscape mode for video watching, displaying pictures (a great way to exploit picture frame mode), or even reading.

The Griffin Tablet Stand is a unique, dual-purpose tabletop stand for your iPad.

In upright mode, it’s also the perfect companion for the Apple wireless keyboard (or any other Bluetooth keyboard). Or close the legs and lay it down, and it puts your iPad at the perfect angle for typing on the on-screen keyboard.

The iKlip Studio Stand ($29.99), shown here, may not look as cool as Griffin’s, but it’s lightweight and folds flat. And it has rubber feet that don’t slide around when you tap the screen. Bob says: “I love my iKlip Studio Stand. Wherever my iPad goes, my iKlip Studio Stand goes with it.”
